Hey Family
This week has been a crazy week it has rained alot in the past couple days. more than it does in Utah i bet. That's cool that you went camping. hope that was fun. What kinda fish did dad catch i wouldn't eat it either ha ha. How has the good old town of fielding been. That's cool how Austin and Ian got there mission calls. They will do great. its funny though because they just opened a new mission called Illinois Chicago west mission and will be effective on July 1 which means some of our mission will go to that and our mission boundaries will change crazy stuff i know. That means all the missionaries in that area will go to that mission instead of ours but it didnt effect us in mason city. It has been hot and cold its nice when its raining and then it gets hot when it isnt. Mom thanks for getting those things for me my companions and another elder were wanting to know if you could get them one of those paisley ties i got from there They think they are the coolest looking. But i have to say so far in my 3 weeks in Iowa i have got 5 new ones from elders and a guy in our ward i will send you a pic of them when i take it haha. hope everything is going good i will send a letter with more things in it love you all hope everything is going good....

Another one of his many brothers that he met at the MTC
His Picture for today!  I hope that's a thumbs up.
Hey there
This week has been a kinda slow week. all of the people we were going to go visit were either not home or were doing something so they couldn't talk. was a little frustrating but and Saturday we were knocking on doors and we weren't getting anywhere. but we kept on going and we came to a house where the guy let us teach him right on the spot. I was grateful and know it was a blessing was a well needed experience. but it gets better we then went to a kid that was a potential and he asked us to come back after we taught him a lesson so we got 2 new investigators in a hour and a half was the coolest thing ever.

Family: Thanks for all the support you have given me and everything you do. IF its not a huge deal I want to know if you can send me my sun glasses and see about getting two more pairs of dress pants if that's not a big deal and you can send that to my address not through the mission home. also see if you can get two of those ties I have the blue and grey paisleys I have got a lot of compliments on them. also send me a pic of the family and some other things maybe of a mountain so I don't forget what they look like.=) oh and tell dad happy fathers day I was thinking of him yesterday and am so blessed to have him in my life. you are the best dad I could ask for. love you guys hope everything is going good. tell Weston he is a stud for bringing back 9 badges from scout camp that's awesome. good luck on the garden hope it is doing good also don't have to much fun without me when you go camping that's one thing that im going to miss. There are a lot of cool places here that would be cool to come back and visit. There is a guy in the ward named Earl. He is one of the coolest guys in mason city he reminds me a lot of mike and james mixed. he is always joking around. he loves to take missionaries out and eat and we are like it because we don't have to cook. I will try to send a letter home but just want to tell you I love you guys and miss you

Elder Bracken Smith with his new companion, Elder Horn from Utah.

Elder Smith with his moose in Minnesota.
Elder Smith, Elder Parry, Elder ?, and Elder?  Four missionaries headed to Iowa.

Hello everyone
I can only write letters and emails on Mondays kinda a bummer I know but that's mission rules. Leaving the mtc was a new experience for me we had to wake up at 3 so we could finish all the stuff we had to do and be at the bus stop by 5. we rode from there to the salt lake air port. we arrived and went and got our plane tickets and all that good stuff and then went up to security. The movies make it look so much more difficult then it was. I was in line for about 5 minutes and was at the gate in 30 mins form when we had arrived there. I got to call home and that was great to hear other than when Weston said he had got stiches. I was mad to hear that a mole on his ear was the reason he got them. My plane ride was ok, when we started i was thinking how is this hunk of metal and these little wings going to be able to carry us all the way to Minnesota. some how it did. it was like a rollercoaster. we landed in st. paul and then had to get on another plane to des Moines Iowa. there we met the president and talked with him and got to know them a little bit more. he drove us back to the mission home in west Des Moines, we had a little meeting and then ate dinner. after that we had a testimony meeting with the new missionaries that had came. was a good experience. we spent the night at a members home where the next day went to transfer meeting. I met my new comp. Elder Horn form Utah. and was assigned to the mason city Iowa. Down the road from our apartment there are like 6 other churches crazy i know. the People are nice and very strong in there religions. I got to meet the ward on sunday and they are great kinda reminds me of a smaller version of Fielding. The package i got was one of the coolest things ever i mean new binoculars felt like Christmas. ahahah but it was great to see how much you guys love me.:) my address in mason city is 210North Jefferson Avenue apartment #6 mason city Iowa 50401. so send me letters and i can see them faster than an email but what ever works for you. i Met a guy named earl; wow this guy is soooo funny he likes to make jokes about us and stuff but feeds us a lot he took us to a pizza place and a place called RIB CRIB oh my gosh was so amazing he is a good guy its been a fun couple of days in the city of Iowa there is a lot of work that needs to be done but with the lords help we can do it.
Love everyone so much miss you guys
